~ The Song Title Game ~

Now, with reference to the song title game; some of you will know that music has been a huge part of my life and whilst I was working on my first book ~ The Work of Gods ~ I really couldn’t help but slip a song title or two in, here and there, as a chapter name or as a reference. It made me laugh. Childish, I know, but as I remember children have so much more fun. And so very soon I started to add more. This led on to actual band names, and then book names, and quotes, and then video games and names...you get the idea. Soon, I was including references to general popular culture stuff as well.

At first no one, and here I including the proof readers and publishers, noticed at all. However, after the second book was released a few people started to make comments on various social media sites. Far more commented that they had no idea what those people were talking about. And before I knew what was happening; I was being asked for a comprehensive list of these references. Of course, I hadn’t actually made one, it was just something that made me smile whilst I was working.
